Axel Abysse is a French filmmaker and performer based in Tokyo, Japan. Born in the southern French countryside, Axel was an introverted and unconfident kid who lived through his dreams and shaped his fantasies through writing or drawing on sketchbooks. His artistic interests soon led him toward pornography, as his body grew and manifested its first sexual expression. Studying arts and focusing on cinematography in Paris, Axel took his first fist at age 18. Needless to say, he never went back.
Relocating to Japan, Axel explored the world of photography, using his obscene self as a model. Surprised, yet aroused by the warm reaction of hundreds of admirers on the Internet, he decided to share what he calls "his curse" with the world. Abysse was born.
Embracing exhibitionism as a reason to practice his self-taught filmmaking skills, Axel Abysse uploaded a video on Xtube in 2014. This was just the first of a long series of somewhat experimental and pornographic pieces where he began to explore the art of fisting, alone or with partners from all over the world.
Invited to film in the USA for StudFist and Club Inferno, Axel’s name gained visibility and popularity very quickly. At the time, young performers like him were extremely rare in the overall virile aesthetic of fisting porn and Axel helped lead a change. Public sex, food play, watersports: the contrast between his innocent physical traits with the limitless level of raunchiness he often reached in the videos turn him into the new pig to follow on the Internet.
In 2017, Abysse decided to fully embrace both creative and sexual passions and launched his own production company. The curse became a blessing: AxelAbysse.com.
Now Axel travels the world to capture his adventures with some of the biggest names in the fetish world such as Trent Bloom, Athleticpisspig or HungerFF.
Through his films, he's developed an unique touch, highlighting the intimacy and trust between him and his partners. Advocate of body positivity and inclusivity, Axel insists on keeping his distance from the aesthetic of mainstream porn that he considers reductive and often toxic. His work celebrates the beauty of fisting, by and for everyone. Presenting a series of scenes featuring cisgender dominatrix Mistress Hinako, Axel came out publicly as pansexual. His attraction revolves primarily around the common passion for anal exploration, despite gender or societal limitations/expectations of what should be hot and what/who isn’t.
As Axel's evolved into a point of reference in the fisting community, his name's also become a symbol of independence and creativity, thanks to numerous collaborations with artists outside the porn sphere. In 2019, he took part in an art performance in Seoul that became a documentary, «Rencontre CULturelle», in which a conversation with artist WOO YEAH explores the difficulty living freely as a fetishist in Asian countries. The same year, he flew to Taiwan to model for «Mucin», a mixed media project with fashion photographer Manbo Key. The film and the pictures have been used in exhibitions and shown in art and films festivals.
In 2020, Axel received the Best Fetish Performer award at the premier European fetish event, Darklands. As the worlds closed down during the Covid-19 pandemic, Axel launched «Lockdown», an 8-episode series with Yoshi Kawasaki, a close friend and frequent work partner. The duo went on to perform in underground clubs and film around Japan, waiting for the borders to reopen.
Finally able to travel again in 2022, Axel performed in the flesh on the Darklands’ stage, was invited to talk at the sex work festival «Snap» in Brussels and explored Europe looking for new talented holes.
Looking at his filmography, we can easily understand why Axel despises the term «content creator». Independent visions and crafts like his are rarely found in the porn industry. Axel puts humongous efforts into sex education, introducing so many people to the beauty of fisting with scrupulous attention to detail.
Axel sees his future mission in finding and sharing new talents of fisting and exploring the fetish world through his own eyes.
